I have five children and suffered from post partum depression after each birth except the most recent. During my last pregnancy, my midwife suggested placenta encapsulation as a way to alleviate my symptoms of depression and to increase milk production. Taking the placenta capsules had such a profoundly positive effect on my post partum experience that I was motivated to learn the encapsulation process so that I might help others avoid the "baby blues."
I am an independent placenta encapsulation specialist. I learned the process of placenta encapsulation from homebirth midwife, Jessica Lawlor (CPM) in 2010. I have continued my education through consulting and researching placenta service providers around the country who have been preparing placentas for years. I have also successfully completed training in Bloodborne Pathogens for Professionals in Placenta Encapsulation in accordance with the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030.
